y do pple think i'm sad? Is it this general perception that they get from me when they see my unruly hair, 2 month old facial hair growth, generaly unkemptness, grumpy face, and read my blog about stupid music tests? Well, i guess as long as Performance (music grade) > Expectation (music grade), i would be happy. The only problem is figuring out what Expected (music grade) really is ... If u believe its C, good for you.
And heiz, im no racist. I'm just stating the truth, like how Indians are the laziest subset of Malays. Being racist is when u make post a comic of Mohammad outside yr dorm door and get kicked out of University housing. OMG, can u believe that they do that? Whereas at I-house, there can be shit exploding all over in the toilet and yet management sits back and yawns. So much for 'multiracial we study together', when the minority stays in the dirtiest slum of the South Side.
Ah, its time to file taxes, but i have no idea how to. Should figure it out, cos i get some money back! yea:) for my taxed income, i would be expecting another $50 pocket money, for 5 more mahjong games! yea, thats the way to think about it .... Hmz, would be so sad in summer, stuck here with a mahjong set and no one to play it with. Have to switch over to poker to satisfy my gambling cravings instead.
Parents called twice this week, you would wonder if they dun update each other abt calling me LOL. Mum tried unsuccessfully to convince me that she had no spy network in place, but guess what, the very names she mentioned were the guilty parties themselves! She was like, No i din call TK's mum to ask about how you were doing in chicago and grades and such ... and i only called KT's mum twice to chat her up ... Ha, those 2 traitors, spreading vile untrue rumors about me.
Ah, the issue of 3 yrs and 4 yrs to complete my degree has arisen again, mainly cos it CAN be done in 3 yrs, but do i want to do so? There's a 3rd year that is currently in graduate analysis and algebra, omg thats scary. Looked over his take home final, he says it takes about 3 hrs to solve half a problem. Its interesting how some people think that i would be doing grad analysis in my third year, just because alot of other people are doing it. The general argument goes like this. What are you doing now? hon anal. What are you doing next year? Hon algebra. So what maths are you doing in yr 3rd year? Erm ... point set topology and complex variables? Ha, you must be kidding ... same guy did 5 math courses in first year and 9! in 2nd ... All these pple with insane credit ...
Which brings me to the point abt americian education system. Its freaking well developed. Well, i wouldn't say well developed, but if u're smart, u can do lots of things ... I look at the Give Extra Problem thingy in singapore and i like, heiz, y din we do this too? Expose us to uni lvl stuff. Alright, even if its not the entire cohort, im sure that there would be several people who are interested. And size is no argument, in fact, our small size means higher population density, so it makes running such a programme all the more possible. SO, to all you PSC-MOE pple out there, i charge you with modifying our education system to allow the best and brightest to develop far, and not be limited by the stupid NS. You know who you are, something better happen in the next 20 years.
ARGH, Can't stand the wait. Damn it damn it, i want my money. Yea, getting another $300 for doing nothing. It seems like we do less and less with each session, hopefully by spring im paid to sleep in.
Alrightz, time to go for my DRP and give a mock presentation to my mentor. Get to play with 6 sliding blackboards! Yea! Would say that i will cream my pants, but parents would call again to tell me to keep this blog off the 'Banned by Singapore list'
