Post-Final
After the tramautic double whammy tuesday ...
Was at the art institute today, and there are two incidents to relate.
1. We were at this statue place, where there is one headless statue and 4 roman heads lying around. My usual comment is that, every few months, they could rotate the heads on the statue. But this little girl beat me hands down
'Mum, whats this?'
'Oh, its a statue of a Roman man, just that hes missing his head.'
(Clarification, thats not the only thing hes missing, he's missing an arm too.)
Moments latter:' Mom, how come he has no privates?'
(Clarificatoin, he really has no privates.)
'Shhhh' and some serious dragging away occurs
2. This is an inscription to another statue. 'The thought is the eternal fact that, no matter how together we may be thrown by circumstances ... we remain unknown to each other.' This caused me to sit down and ponder for a while. Moments later, Ivan sat down too, and promptly fell asleep in the chair.
