New York

So, I've been meaning to record down stuff that happened in New york, but clearly i've not been successful.

Well, watched rent on monday, managed to get lottrey tickets yea. It was good, they really could sing. Differed slightly from the movie version of course. Met jeremy there, by a totally random stroke of luck. He came over with parents, as post graduation tour. Oh, and I forgot to mention that i slept for 10 hours, and further had a 3 hours nap. NICE!
Then on tues, went 'shopping', and by that i mean i walked along 5th avenue and entered some shops and looked at stuff. I'd say that A&F does a very good job at marketing/targeting the young crowd, which pulls in the old fogeys. Its amazing the number of old pple that came in looking for t-shirts/stuff for their children, and some of those also include those that weren't pulled in by their kids.
Also made my way to FAO schrawz, which sells soft toys, esp gargantuan ones. There was a dragon and dragonette pair that twere going for $5500 each. OMFG. too big to hold or even wrap my hands around, so as to why someone would want to display something like that ... well, i guess a small spoilt brat could perhaps climb ontop of the dragon and risk falling off. who knows. But the quality of soft toys there were very good, was tempted to get one, but I think Calvin will get jealous, so nope.
Luckily, got free seats to Monty Python's spam-a-lot that night, which involved me standing behind a couple that had tickets to another show, and were wanting to refund their ticket. After they found out I was looking for student tickets, they were more then willing to give their tickets to me. so yay. They were like $250 a piece. pricy...
Yesterday, spent the morning lazing in bed, chatting, dozing, etc. Then went down to borders to do some reading. OSC has another Ender's book, a very short version now, not as great, but similar along the lines. Read and complete another book. Started a third, but got bored. Then went to pick up Sam ... He called me when i was dozing, and later when i was reading, so i din really pay attention to which train station he sent himself to. Luckily for us, he sent himself to the correct one, met up on wall street, then went for dinner at a jap restaurant.

Living in NY is pricy. 2 weeks is a long time to live here. Oh well, there is no global budget for this trip, only a moment-to-moment prick of conscience, but even that is being silenced. I'm looking at this $150 long sleeved shirt, but i dont think i'd get it lol. Need to find a place where i can buy shirts that i like, but doubt theres gonna be much of a chance.
