You gotta keep both feet on the ground ... but which planet?

Thats just there to remind me of this interesting quote i heard from a fren. Was telling him how in my fantasy world, i do not need to come out to work, but could relentlessly pursue my interests. But also that i recongnize the reality of the situation, that sonner or later this must end.

And so, once again, i rededicate my life to the pursuit of my interests. Have been slacking off for a while, like 2 weeks since i was sick, just waiting to pick up momentum again. think i shall start tomorrow, lol, the procrastinator that i am. Hmz, have been handing in complex homework late, not like the TA cares though. well, its not my fault, i dunno how to do it ...

So what are my interests? MAHJONG AND POKER LOL. Well, for now, econ has sort of slid off the rader. Leaving math. And psychology. And the workings of the human brain. Next year will be damn interesting for me. Will be taking SOSC - Mind, which is about the mind lol. Going to do hon alge (sigh, there goes the lovely word anal) under nori. Going to do discrete maths in fall, in line with Putnam preparation. Then have 3 other math courses planned for audit, subject to time constraints (hms, have been jucky with time schedules so far, or rather i am willing to give up some courses to fit others in).

Oh yes, Kiat is planning on conducting a course in Putnam training in Stanford. Aian't that so cool and interesting? I should jump ship over right? (lol, pirate wont let me.) Its part of some stanford initiative for students to patch up courses which they think the uni should provide. So hes doing the planning, teaching materials, time table of topics, qn hunting, etc. So exciting ... reminds me of trinity once again. Oh the fun times...

And so, full steam ahead. After this quarter ends (hopefully will get my 4.0, only chance at it) have 1 week to teach myself linear algebra, or as much of is as possible. Then 8 weeks of REU, where i've sortof decided which courses i want already, and its going to be packed. Then maybe 1 week of relaxing in chicago, some quite time to myself. Then back to singapore for 6 weeks, before coming back to continue my education :)

Erm, if there are horrendous typos in this entry, thats cos im watching Lord of the Dance while typing, so cant really see the words cos i squashed up the IE page.

Oh parents, paul sally us paying me 3K (market rate) for summer. So i have more than enough money to last past summer. Most prob getting a job on the side too, see how things work out. Haha, im just too lazy to email you guys k, and i know that you check this page often enough.

Alright, gtg for dinner at the snail ... bloody idiots are chasing me already ... :) TK's coming down to pick me up in LJ's car ... LJ is in germany settling his summer internship. So cool. Should do something like that, but i know im too lazy to organize and plan for it.
