gosh, been sleeping so much the past few days, and i shall suppose for today. Seem to be getting better though, not only have sorethroat and headache to deal with.
understand 50% of what is being said in honors analysis, if its even that high an amount. Figuring stuff out along the way, im so glad im being taught by a one-legged pirate (prof suffering from diabetes, had both legs cut off, one recently, the other replaced with prosthesis, in a wheelchair right now, and an eyepatch over a presumable missing/blind eye) Hes quite an interesting character, makes fun of all the students ... good thing is that he writes and moves about so slowly i have some time to formulate thoughts and ideas abt what he is saying. Test tomolo .... sianz ....
Bio issues taught by this polish (cant quite place the accent) female professor with a strong slant towards genetics and evolution. Seems to think that we know alot of 'basic bio' but considering that all i had was LPK, good luck now man.
Econs 200 taught by grace, this asian women (who apparantly is biased against asians WTF) quite dynamic and interesting, should be able to keep me awake during her lecture. Quite a few new concepts being taught compared to A lvl, and yea i get to use Lagrage multiplier, which apparantly works much better than olympiad maths at inequalities. But sadly, i cant quote AM-GM or Cauchy or Cheby LOL
Huma should be a good course, have very little reading compared to the rest, and was able to pull off a few comments even though i din read through all the assigned reading (hei, i was asleep) Must explain an interesting 'The Kid Syndrom' one day
Econ 199, intro to macroecons, got permission to sit in on this course (cant take exam, which saves me time) when i explained that i was an intenational student from singpore who took blah blah blah, and just need info re US status. Was lucky abt that, cos he rejected some others who just wanted to sit in on the course (and not pay the uni money ... well, thats essentially what im doing, but who cares)
Life seems quite good around here, for the first week at least. Hopefully i dun fall sick later into the quarter.
Must start putting keys and cellphone (pple dun understand when i say handphone) in different pockets.
