Rejected, oh well
Dear Mr. Lin,
I am writing about the aforementioned paper that you submitted to the American Mathematical Monthly.Your paper was considered for the Notes section of the Monthly, which includes relatively short mathematical gems. The large number of submissions we receive makes the competition for the small number of pages allotted this section quite fierce.I regret to inform you that the Monthly will not be able to accept your paper for publication. This is not necessarily a result of the quality of your paper, but rather that we receive many high quality papers and must limit our choice to only a few. This makes for difficult decisions.
