several random thoughts

Some pple need to update their blog more often. Esp since i dun read many blogs, and its sad to see the same entry right at the start for so long.

TK is so lazy. There was a chunk of beef that i bought and placed in the fridge for about 1 week. Then recently took it out to chop into small pieces. Then guess who had beef for lunch the next day?? Oh, and as a testement to how we can live life by adapting to the status quo. 1. TK's window has been broken since he moved in, so he freezes in his room, even with the heater on. 2. We need lighting in the living room, and survive by shifting our room lights in and out as and when needed. 3. 1 lamp in living room has been tempremental ever since we shifted in. 4. The microwave has been spoiled for 1 week... Considering how TK aian't gonna do anything abt these, i must attempt to remember to contact maintainence on my way out ... OH yes, that guy bags up his room rubbish and leaves it in the kitchen, expecting the garbage disposal company to take care of it from there...

More recently, the topic of friendship has croppped up several times, and how im losing touch with various people from my 'past' life. Be it from class, HC, SIMO, Army, etc ... and once in a while i start up an MSN conversation with someone, but that feels so different. All the more so i shouldn't lose friends in my proximity, that would be even sadder. Will miss those that graduate this year, and with them, most of my MJ kaki's. sob.

And i realize that i haven been cooking much this quarter. Think i hosted 7-8 dinner parties last quarter, mostly over the weekends, either to chat of to MJ. This quarter, think the count is at 2. That number aian't likely to increase past 5, partially because i started getting busy with work this quarter. Cooking is sortof a fun experiment, and it also means that i have enough time to waste, hence means im not that far back in my work.

Sally's work so far has included the nearest point function, n-secting of spheres, and isometries. These are results that are known already, so nothing that im doing is ground-breaking in that sense. The problems aian't exactly trivial, but their solutions can be quite nice, depending on the approach taken. Borsuk-Ulam, multiple inductions, constructing a singleton set. Have yet to calculate hourly wage, but i think its below min wage levels LOL.

Once again, i have decided that creature comforts shall play a more important part in my life, in the sense that i shall be willing to buy stuff that i need/want. But, given my temprement, that's gonna be hard to change. Like i've been thinking of getting a pair of ear muffs since winter, but still haven gotten down to it, and it only costs like $10. Must remember the next time i walk past walgreens. But considering that income has increased, i shall be more free with my spending. Think my Jan spending is still within limits, must wait for TK to work out the accounts (and if he doesn't do so, then i no need to pay rent)
